Google Business Profile Creation Terms

These terms cover creating a Google Business Profile from scratch with Trotter Results (Timothy Trotter). They apply when the written quote says “profile from scratch.” Improving a profile that already exists is a different service.

1. Eligibility. You confirm the business is real, that you are allowed to represent it, and that the name, phone, address or service area, and category you give us are accurate. We can refuse a setup that looks misleading, duplicated on purpose, or outside Central Illinois.

2. Fee. The fee is the amount in the written quote. Setup does not start until you accept it. Trotter Results does not publish a standard setup price on this page. Google’s own verification is free; we do not charge a “Google fee.”

3. Access. You own the profile. We need manager access (or we create it in an account you control and then you keep ownership). When the invoice is paid, you remain the owner. We do not keep a listing we can lock you out of.

4. Verification. Google decides whether you are verified and which method you get. Postcard delays, video checks, and suspensions are Google’s process. We prepare the profile so it matches the real business and we help you complete the steps Google shows. We do not guarantee approval or a date.

5. Name and category. The business name on the profile is the real business name. We will not add a city or a keyword to the name to game the map. Categories must be true. If you insist on a stuffed name, we stop that part of the work.

6. No fake activity. No fake reviews, no review gating that hides unhappy customers into a back channel we control, no bought photos of someone else’s jobs.

7. No ranking promise. A new profile does not by itself put you in the top 3. The 90-day pause-billing guarantee does not apply to setup-only work. It applies only under the ranking terms, if you have that engagement.

8. Duplicates and suspensions. If Google already has a listing for you, merging or removing the duplicate can take time and can fail. If a suspension happens because the facts were wrong or the name was stuffed at your request, the setup fee still covers the work already done. If we caused a clear error, we fix it at no extra fee.

9. City exclusivity. Setup alone does not include city exclusivity against your competitors. That applies only while a ranking engagement is active.

10. Cancellation. Cancel in writing before the profile is submitted and you owe only for work already done. After submission, the fee for the submitted setup is earned. You still own the profile.

11. Liability. We are not liable for Google’s decisions, lost calls, or lost profits. Responsibility for a paid setup is limited to the fee you paid for that setup.

12. Changes. The quote you accepted controls if it conflicts with a later version of this page.
